Cortnee Williams, MS, Resident in Counseling
I am a pre-licensed clinical mental health therapist from Grand Canyon University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. As a mental health professional, teacher, and coach, I have dedicated my career to advocating and supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through life's milestones. I specialize in childhood and adolescent mental health and Sports/Performance counseling.
My approach to counseling is simply to make positive connections that make a difference in someone’s life. I have been trained to think eclectically, supporting everyone's unique and personal experiences throughout their healing journey. I strive to ensure my clients develop the tools to improve self-awareness, mental strength, and self-discovery. Though every journey is unique, I believe everyone needs a partner (or a village) to reach their goal.
Additionally, I want you to love your mind, body, and soul as one entity. In addition to self-love, I am here to assist you on your journey through grief, trauma, and life’s challenges; confronting the past will allow your present and future to be molded to your likeness.
I do not provide answers; however, I encourage my clients to look within themselves to challenge hindering beliefs blocking the path to personal growth. Though I do not solve the problem, I assist my clients in discovering the recourse for change.
